Legacy Wallet Recovery in the Netherlands
Recovery of wallets from discontinued software: MultiBit, Jaxx, Mist, Ether.li, presale wallets and other legacy formats.
Quick answers
Can a wallet be recovered when its software no longer exists?
Often, if useful material remains. A wallet file, backup, recovery phrase or old device may allow the format to be identified and access to be rebuilt with era-appropriate tooling.
What should I preserve from an old wallet?
Keep every version of the wallet file, backups, devices, recovery sheets and any notes about the software and period of use. Do not convert or overwrite the only copy.
Do I need the original wallet application?
Not necessarily. The correct route depends on the file format and surviving material, not on whether the original app still runs. Some cases require reconstructing an older environment or extracting keys from the format directly.
Wallet software from the early years used formats and backup models that no longer exist. This service covers those legacy wallets: MultiBit Classic and HD, Jaxx Liberty, Mist, Ether.li, presale wallets and other discontinued formats.
What we need from you
The wallet file, backup, recovery sheet or device, plus the wallet software and the period it was used. Any memory of passwords from that era helps. A description is enough to get an answer.
How it works
Old wallets often have no seed at all: the wallet file (and its password) is the recovery material. Early Electrum seeds aren't BIP39; MultiBit HD words are BIP39 but derive from m/0h. We identify the exact format first - from a copy, never by guessing on the original - and then apply the era-matched route: password search, seed reconstruction or key extraction.
Security note
Downloading discontinued software from search results is a known way to get malware. We work from copies and official archives only, in a controlled environment.
